so the class with popin' pete and skeeter rabbit was pretty damn awesome. Weird thing was, it was at a high school, so we were surrounded by these young girls, some of whom could already pop really well. Damn. I coulda gotten schooled by these 16 year olds.

Anyways, both pete and skeet were super friendly, and pretty damn funny. Oh and they can dance pretty okay too.

Afterwards, I bought all of pete's DVDs for practice sake, and also a music CD he had. Kind of a lot of money, but then it's worth it.

Anyways, here's some pics.

Popin' Pete and Me (dunno why we posed like that)

Skeeter Rabbit and Me (and Kazoo from Machine Gone Fownk in the back)

Cool day. Lots of dancing. It was sweet. Man, these cats can get DOWN. For these two, dancing is life. In Skeet's case, it literally saved his life cuz before he got into dancing, his life was going down the wrong path (he's from Compton..make the connection). Anyways, he was telling us about how you just gotta keep dancing..the only difference between you and someone who hella sucks is that you got more years on them..other than that, ur just the same. That really got in my head, and killed a lot of the self doubt I have about my dancing. I gotta get better.

Man i just got tired as shit. Thursday night I got 3 hours of sleep, and last night i got 3 hours of sleep. I just took a 2 hour nap, but the tiredness is coming back. I got church, or temple if you wanna call it that, tomorrow morning too. I think i might just crash.

oh snaps!

So this Sat, i'm gonna be taking two poppin' classes with Poppin' Pete and Skeeter Rabbit. Who are these two guys? Well, they're pretty much two of the top poppers/lockers in THE WORLD. Yeah, not i'm overexagerrating either..these guys are top notch. You better believe i'm excited!!!! No joke, this is like getting a basketball lesson from Michael Jordan. It's gonna be dope!

aight. everone and their mom is doing it. so why not do it too. stupid shit.

20 stupid ass things about me that you either already know or dont care about (or until I get sick of writing)

1) The only dressing i like on my salads is red wine vinegar and olive oil. I like red wine vinegar so much if i have any left in the bowl i'll drink it up. One time i was craving the taste of it so badly that i took a swig of it right from the bottle, sans salad.

2) my sense of humor is my only saving grace. I throughly enjoy random things...i'm extremely sarcastic and immature when it comes to humor. For example, barking dog exploding into confetti, pouring boiling water on head in confusion, etc.

3) I've stuck my hand in puke 2 times, and stuck my hand in the toilet once -- the toilet was to take glass shards out of the toilet, cuz somoene had dropped a cup in there during a party. oh, there was puke in the toilet with the glass, so i guess that makes it 3 times. lol

4) i like all kinds of music except for gospel (for philosophical reasons), and reggaeton (for the fact that it SOUNDS LIKE ABSOLUTE, UTTER SHIT).

5) i'm too damn emotional. I'm a "hopeless romantic" (i like the term "romantic SOB" better).

6) I dont like it when people use their xanga to gush and gush and gush about their relationships (remember, i'm ugly, single and bitter...and furthermore, i'llprobably be talking bout how much i love my snuggily wuggily when i find a gf), make their problems sound bigger than they really are ( #7..i'm a fucking hypocrite lol), or talk mad shit..more like threaten [i.e. "what bitch? what? next time say that shit to my face and i'll kick your ass! yeah WHAT". ]

7) I've eaten while on the toilet, and in the shower. (It was an APPLE, NOT A FULL COURSE MEAL..CHILLS...NAH IT'S NOT THAT GROSS GEEZ...OKAY MAYBE IT IS...BUT HEY, AT LEAST I WASN'T EATING SOMETHING BROWN)

8) I love talking about philosophy, relationships, talking shit, stupid stuff, music (lyrics and sound), going to vegas, growing up memories (i.e. transformers, back to the future trilogies, snap bracelets, 80 cartoons, etc.). I hate talking about politics, religion, logical answers for emotional problems (cuz no one has the right answer, but are convinced that they do)

9) I'm 25, am in school, have no job, no dream, and incessantly complain about how boring my life is. I complain in order to make sure i'm unhappy so i'll have the motivation to get outta here when i'm done, or at least get a job that will allow me to do what i want whenever i want.

10) I say random ass things when i'm sleepy. I dream random ass things when i'm asleep. Take last night for example. I dreamt that I was playing connect four using jello with pornstar jenna jameson. Strangely enough, she kept winning, and insisted that I eat jello. BTW, for some reason, we were married. There's a lot more randomness to the dream, but i forgot most of it. No sex tho =( lolz

11) I hate feeling regretful. But I do it a lot.

12) One time, I was sliding down the railing in front of my grandma's house, and i literally ripped my shorts off. For some reason tho, my mom had brought an extra pair of shorts, so i was saved. BTW, i was 17 at the time. JK, i was like 6.

13) I fall asleep with my wrists in weird positions, which usually result in my hands falling asleep while i'm asleep. Werd. Speaking of sleep, if i'm on a car ride for more than 20 minutes, i'll be asleep in no time (unless i'm driving)

14) i hate arrogance more than i hate cilantro

15) I dont think anyone really knows what true love is anymore, including me....well, except when i wrote #22

16) Fairly Odd parents is the dopest cartoon.

17) I'm a big fan of the poppin' style of dance. I learned this because it looked cool, I have a good friend who was really good at it, and because I wanted to learn a dance style that didn't require dancing with a girl. This is because at the time, when i went clubbing, it would all too often be more guys than girls, or all guys. These days it doesnt really bug me anymore, but the love of poppin' has remained, so there you go.

18) I can wiggle my ears

19) I've lost touch with pretty much 90 percent of my friends in San Diego. No hate, just stating the facts. That's what happens when you move away. I'm sure i'll catch up with peoples all in due time. I unfortunately tho, have kept in touch with 100 percent of my friends in San Jose. LOLZ. JK you bastards.

20) I'm lactase deficient. I dont like cantaloupe, but i like honey dew. Jello is the best food in the world, fresh mango is good, strawberries you can never get tired of, vegas is the best place on earth, and hitting yourself in the balls with a jump rope hurts like a bitch.

21) every time i would go raving, I'd come home with black and blue knuckles from the photon lights hitting so hard against my knuckles. Usually I'd hyperextend my elbow joints and pop my shoulders a couple of times. I'd call them "rave wounds" All for the art tho, right?

22) i've finally realized what is needed in a real relationship, and am willing to be patient for it. AREN'T I AMAZING? WAIT THAT'S BRAGGING. SHIT. NOW I HATE MYSELF. WAIT I ALREADY HATE MYSELF. K I HATE MYSELF EVEN MORER.

23) I would do ANYTHING to go to vegas right now, but planning a trip has become impossible.

LOLZ

a night sky with no moon
giving me a shade to walk
with no light to guide me
I'm left to find my own way
Forced to proceed with extra discretion
so i dont trip over my own feet
and fall to the cold earth below.

the moments of sunshine are few and far between
brief seconds of light
that burn my eyes and force me to turn away
By the time i've adjusted
the luminance is long gone.

I stroll along
with my sweet tasting dreams of last night
dancing on my neural taste buds.
Here is where you may see me
but behind my mental barrier
I'm a million miles away.
In a place where the ground is not made of eggshells
and doubt is not my daily events partner.
Where love is not questioned
and self worth can be taken for granted.
Where better days are not dreamed of
but simply waited for with elated anticipation

A dream that will never come,
But that is perhaps better left to the impossible.
For a dream brought into reality
will be torn apart
like so many before them.

So keep your dreams within the contents of your heart
Let their warmth keep you going
Even when the path grows a little too dark
and a little too cold.

Day light savings time has given me another hour to sleep and be a lazy bastard. Sweet.

K I had a couple of weird dreams. It's like..it was weird. One left me speechless, another left me feeling pretty happy, even if it was just a dream.

aight this weekend was fun as SHIT. It was weird because both nights started out kinda like damn dunno what to expect, but it turned out to be really fun. Friday night, Jon, Mel, Vikram and I went to Blush in Burlingame. We met up with Julia, Greg. and his buddy Jason there. Later on Kalai, JB, Brian and some more of his cousins came.

So when we walk in, this place is fully lit, there's like 6 people inside, there's a live rockish band playing, and the upstairs is roped off. My jaw dropped. No way! I thought this place was supposed to be cool??? Greg, always the optimist, says "It's gonna get better. Here, have a drink. Once you drink it'll get better". Following his suggestion, we got a shot of petron. Delish yo. And he was right. It didn't seem so bad immediately. Did i mention i hadn't eaten anything in like 4 hours? Anyways, alcohol made everything better, as usual =P

So then the lights went out, the DJ came on, and we got some more drinks. Greg started dancing with everybody, and I got pretty buzzed. I was dancing my ass off like a dumbass. They played fuckng Kelly Clarkson.."since you been gone". So we all started jumping around and singing along...I was pretty drunk at this point and I really started yelling to the party where she goes "yeah yeaaaahh!!". Everyone was dancing. I had a LOT of fun that night. Some people were dressed up as fraternity members of Broke Phi Broke. Awesome. I like it. It was really cool catching up a little with JB and Brian, finally hitting up a club with Greg, finally chilling with Julia in at atmosphere where she could just let loose and have fun, jumpin' around and shit. Yeah fun.

The next night I was pretty tired, so rather than going to a party in Oakland, I went to a bar with Jon, Bryant, and Julia.. Well like a bar/club but more bar than club. We started off at F&A's in Palo Alto, but it was sucking ass, so we went to this place called Blue Chalk instead. It was coo, cept there was no tonic for gin and tonics, and the bartender did not know how to make a tokyo tea. wtf. Anyways, had some drinks, and danced a little. Not as crazy as the night before, but still definitely fun. Went back to Bryant's place, ate, laughed it up. Good fucking times again.

i'm sure there's some shit i left out, but you just had to be there. It was fun, not crazy, but definitely fun. Especially Friday night. God damn, I had a great time!

Good weekend. I needed it SO bad. thank you friends, thank you alcohol, thank you shitty DJ!!!

Got another project job offer from my prof. More money, just in time for xmas. I like it. Really gotta work on getting that internship tho.
- - -
Working things out in my mind, but there's no real reason for it. No real reason at all.
Shit. It's like my mind wants to ruin a good day by wandering to places where it knows it shouldn't go.
- - -
I dont know why people say things that they know i dont wanna hear. I dont get it. I really don't.

Most of the girls i know have an endless amount of flirtation opportunities, flings, dates, relationships, booty calls (if they want), etc. You want a date? You got one. You want a BF? you got one. You want some ass? You got some. All it takes is a phone call or just a simple look in a club or letting people know ur single. Shit, a good man is hard to find, but for everything from there to inbetween to the scum of the earth, you got it.

Guys are wolves. Girls are not.
Us guys are the guns, shooting at targets. As for the girls, well, ur the targets, but you control how big you wanna make yourself, and how easy you wanna get hit. HAHA what an awesome analogy and a delightful play on words!!! LOL BBQ PBS

It's a woman's world, us guys are just living in it.

And if you're a guy who aint got the looks, aint got the mystery, aint got the confidence, the money, the car, the clothes, the style, the game, the wit, the humor, the personality...if you're a guy whose prone to being a friend friend friend, a shoulder to cry on, a teddy bear, the giver of the male perspective...if you are so solidified on the friend ladder that your feet are starting to take root on the rungs...if you think so much about relationships and shit that no girl would even consider dating you...if you are too emotional, too predicatable, too quick to fall for someone and too slow to get over someone...

well...I..oopz, i mean you suck ass, and you better think of something quick. When i finally find something that works, i'll y'allz know. LOL.

hahaha oh man i can't wait till some girl starts stalking me (WAHAHAHA) or beats me up, or i get mugged or jumped, or get with a girl and have her cheat on me, and then i'll look back on all this and say "man, it really wasn't all that bad!"

Ha ..ha...ha...

fuck.

oh wells, back to the grind! =D

Life sucks ass, but that's what makes it fun!!!! Think of how fucking boring life would be if you were happy and everything was going right. Ugh. So boring. Let's live in the moment and enjoy how life goes, whether it's a kick to the balls with cleats, or if it's a phone call in the middle of the night from the girl of your dreams saying that she's in love with you and wants to have your babies.

Soccer is like life. I shoot all the time, but I never get a goal. But I gotta keep trying. You say FUCK IT and you keep going. And at the end of the day, when ur all beat up and you've been kicked and shit, and your legs cramp up and your neck hurts and you think how am i gonna drive home cuz my legs feel like shit, you still feel fucking GREAT.

and BTW, they were wrong. The answer to life's problems CAN be found in the bottom of a bottle. You'll just have a lot more problems the next morning. GOOOO alcohol!

how easily it escaped from my lips
because this what it was supposed to be like
this is how it's supposed to happen

falling into the category
of life's experiences
life's expectancies
We believe we're due.
We believe that everyone feels this way
at some point.
or at least,
one point.

but admist all of the partial sunshines
and superficial pecks
the value of the words are lost
I hear them so easily thrown around these days
Spoken on every occassion, with focuses held elsewhere
I see them written on pieces of paper like used up emotions
taken for granted,
balled up,
and tossed over shoulders

"I love you"

i've not heard that phrase come from my mouth
my less my heart
in such a long time
that the very thought of how it used to be brings back
a stew of good memories,
waft with an aroma that triggers the realization
that i've long forgotten what it tastes like.
That makes me sad

I don't miss it....much.
I don't search for it with a overanalystical magnifying glass
I don't force it to come my way with overly sweet words and false promises.
To wait for such a beautiful thing
is something i consider a privelege
For the day that I speak those words,
and feel nothing tighten around my heart
is the day
that I know
I'm truly lost.
- - - -

I dont care.
I dont care about anything.
Is this bad?
Is this sad? This lack of attachment?
Have i lived for so long yearning for the extreme end of emotions,
that the things i called dreams turned into necessities?
Maybe.
Maybe not.

To not care is definitely not a bad thing
But one has to remember...
To stay inside your room forever,
your days will never be filled with clouds.
Not a drop of rain will ever fall upon you
But a wall blocks out everything,
and you will never feel a ray of sunshine.

But then again,
who cares.
LOL.
WTF.
BBQ.

so yesterday night i went to a house dance class. It was pretty damn fun. I think i'm gonna be hitting that up on mondays from now on. Pretty funny too, cuz before this, I thought that house looked kinda funny. Like some kind of funkafied jazz dance. Looks like i was wrong once again lol. The footwork is OUT OF HAND. I can't even tell you how tired I got. It was fucking awesome.

I was talking to the teacher after class..really cool guy, HELLA good house dancer. Anyways, apprently house dancing isn't that big over here, but on the east coast it is.

I've found myself, not just because of the dancing, really getting into house music. For some reason, I'm more easily able to lose myself in the music. The subtle sound changes, the soft chords, the salsa beat.

Damn, I wish I lived in SF now, just so i could go dancing more often. ohwells.

oh SHIT. I found out that fucking POPPIN' PETE and SKEETER RABBIT of the Electric Boogaloos are coming HERE to teach NEXT WEEKEND. HOLY CRAP!!!!! =D

I may not be that good at it, but i swear...dancing is what keeps me sane.

if i've gone overboard
then i'm beggin you
to forgive me
in my haste
when i'm holding you so girl
close to me
-Crash, DMB

Oh what if they came down crashing
in the way I used to play for all that lonliness that nobody
notices now
Oh begging slow
I'm coming here, yeeeaaahhhh
I'm waiting
I wanted to stay
I wanted to play
I wanted to love you

I'm only this far
and only tomorrow leads the way
I'm coming, waltzing back
and moving into your head... please
I wouldn't pass this by
Oh and I wouldn't take any more
and what sort of man goes by
-#41, DMB
- - -
Dave Matthews Band..i remember the first time I heard them, I thought it was absolute shit. My friend insisted on listening to them on the carpool ride home from high school. Ugh, I hated them. But then when i got college, I all of sudden really really liked them. My roommate at the time told me that that's how it is: you first hate Dave, and then you love it. And sure enough, since college, i've really enjoyed all of dave's music. Crash (first song) was the first song i ever heard by DMB, but my all time favorite is, and always will be, #41. That song sounds fucking awesoe, but it's like a musical photograph for me. That song triggers hella memories. It's also pretty fun to try and figure out exactly what the hell dave is talking about in the lyrics. I put my own spin on it, but maybe that's the reason why they're so encrypted...so that everyone can relate to it in their own way..

So, I'm SO FUCKING SORE from playing soccer, but GOD DAMN it feels good. Even my ribs are sore. it feels great. I need to learn some drills that Tony does, so i can get as cut as him.

Today i didn't do anything. I sat around and I exercised a little. Nothing big.

tomorrow is school work today. Library time.

fuck the rant. doesn't seem fun to even write anymore.
