It's thursday, but it feels like friday. Sorta.
Long work week. Long. And next week is going to be just as long.
Today was sake san jose. Had a good amount of sake, then ate at kaita. It was aight. Saw a super cute girl there. She walked past me, I shot her a look, she kept walking, and that was that.
Glad this weekend is a long weekend. Saturday I think I might head up to Sonoma to Brian's graduation, then play some cards on the way down. Sunday probably chill with Daco, bowling or pool or something. Monday not sure yet...hopefully something outside or active. Probably chill with Jon since he's coming back from Annapolis.

one gets tired of putting a front all the time. gets tired of the bullshit. gets tired. I feel a rant coming. That'll have to wait for this weekend. No one wants to hear that shit. Regardless, I'm done. I'm so fucking tired of certain shit, and like the fat on a piece of steak before you cook it, I'm cutting that shit off.
My perspective is a blog better make you laugh or make you think. I'm trying to keep it real while keeping it funny. Life isn't always humorous, but one's perspective on it can and should always be. Heavy on the funny, heavy on the sarcasm.

More random stuff. Dig it.
I was chilling with Bob and we got to talking about funerals and serious stuff. What I realized about funerals tho is that the more sad you are, the more likely you're going to find something extremely funny. It's like you're stretching the boundaries of your emotions...and so if you're really sad and crying hard..something can/will make you shoot to the other extreme. Both me and bob had our respective stories about this subject. Hers was more funny.
My story - I went to a friend's funeral. Super hard. I cried the whole time, even after the funeral was over. I had never lost a friend before, and it was devastating. However, in the middle of the ceremony, the chinese pastor came on the mic. (I was in the other room by the speaker since there were too many people in the chapel). In a SUPER THICK chinese accent, he starts singing Amazing Grace WAY too close to the mic. Add to that the fact that he kinda sounded like Elmer Fudd. Then add to that, the fact that I knew for SURE that if my friend was there, he'd be laughing his ASS off. Those three things combined forced my sadness to come to an abrupt halt, and then I couldn't keep from smiling and laughing. I had to cover my face and pretend that I was crying, but I wasn't heaving from the sobs -- it was to keep the laughs in! I'd like to think that my friend sent that to us to help us through the difficult task of having to say goodbye to him.
Bob's story - I won't go into details, but Bob had to attend a very difficult funeral. There was a person at the funeral who was straight up SOBBING. Like crying and gasping for breath. Bob was crying as well. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the crying girl let out a HUGE belch. Like a long and enormous one. Seriously. Like I imitated it when Bob told me the story..i said "Wait, you mean like BBBBBBWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!" and she said "YEAH!". OMFG. I still crack up when I think about that.
I really hope that something like that happens at my funeral. I really do.

I just realized how damn expensive it is to eat here at work. The cafeteria charges RIDICULOUS amounts for the C- food they serve. If you were buy lunch here, you'd be paying 9-12 dollars for something simple. The other day I heard some guy getting pissed off at the lady who works the register. While I can understand his anger, why get mad there, and at her? You saw the prices before you bought it!

I work out at the YMCA by my house. I don't get certain habits the people have when working out. IT was never like this when I went to RIMAC (here and there).
How to look like a dumbshit/douchebag/poser at the gym:
1) Lift weights/do cardio while wearing jeans and a baseball hat. Why not? I mean it's important for you to look your best when you're on an exercise bike. It's obvious that you came to really get your sweat on.
2) Do cardio in a dress shirt, slacks, and nikes. Might as well, right? You can't be bothered to go home and change! That's way too much work!
3) Do cardio in half your work clothes, and half workout clothes (e.g. nice dress shirt, sweats...or...an old "got fear" tshirt and slacks). For days when you only feel half lazy, or when you just need to get back to the office when you're done. Fuck showers! As long as no one can smell you, you're golden!
4) Talk on your cell phone while you're working out. Good way to really feel the burn. And that's not annoying to the people around you at all.
5) For guys: bring all your homies, bring them into the weight room with you, have them stand around watching you lift weights and make comments like "Yeah boy!" "Come on man!" "Do it!" "Uh huh!". These comments will encourage you later when they ask you out on a date.
6) Carry a basketball with you while you're running on the elliptical machine. Laugh when you drop it and almost take out the short mexican guy running behind you. Who needs manners when you're a stuck up brat who's only there cuz your fat mom dragged you there?
I can't wait to move out of ESSJ.

I think the awesomest thing in the world is when cute/attractive girls get hooked on arrogant assholes. I think that's awesome. And then you have to stand there and watch while they get jacked over and over again. And it's not cuz you're jealous (okay maybe a little bit..i mean a lot bit), but it's a combination of seeing a great girl get jaded by a guy who ruins it for the nice guys out there (I'm not included in either group. I'm neither a good guy, or an arrogant asshole. I consider myself in the third group: the neutrals, the typical guys, the plain oatmeals, the perfectly zero, the medians, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.) But yeah. That's awesome. Awesome like getting a paper cut on your eyeball or having to stick your bottom two teeth into ice cream for a minute and a half. Awesome like getting kancho'd and kicked in the balls at the same time. Awesome like having someone stick a needle into your arm lengthwise so that it goes in the bottom of your palm and comes out the end of your elbow. HAVE I MADE MY POINT??? FUCK!

holy shit.
I got home at 6pm. Ate dinner. Decided to take a small nap.
It's now midnight. I just woke up. And I'm still tired. That's already six hours, and i'll probably sleep till 8am since i dont have any early meetings. That's 14 hours total.
I think i really need to not let my sleep deficient grow like that.

Props.
Props to Davis, Jackson, Richardson, Barnes, Pietrus, Beidrins, Ellis, Harrington and the rest (wsup Foyle). They all said we couldn't make it to the playoffs. We won the majority of our last games to beat the clippers out of the 8th spot.
They all said we wouldn't, couldn't, shouldn't beat the Mavs, the 1st seed. We did it, and made Dirk getting the MVP a rather funny joke.
We played our asses off, even when you were down 3-1 and losing in the last game of the series.
Props.
Shit, we won just by getting to the playoffs, everything else was just playing with the house's money. Bonus.
We believed. And we won.
We're the best goddamn fans in the entire league by far. Better than any other team. I got countless stories and news reports that can back that up. That makes it a FACT, son.
As for the jazz, they played hard, but even a fucking idiot has to admit that the refs obviously had money on utah. But no matter. Have fun playing either San Antonio or Phoenix. Either way, your asses are gonna get handed to you. And I cant wait to see it happen. and i'm sure the sea of all caucasian people (and maybe one black guy) that makes up the utah fans will hate it.
That don't mean that we don't need work. We really need to work on getting offensive and defensive rebounds. Everyone needs to learn how to shoot freethrows like Jackson. Harrington needs to work on his shot, his handles, and his speed. Maybe Nellie is right; Harrington needs to lose some damn weight. Ellis needs to come through in the rough parts.
BTW, regarding Dirk getting the MVP, In all honesty, that honor probably should have gone to (I hate to say it) Kobe Bryant aka "The Lakers"...dude is like Wilt, scoring that many baskets in a game (EIGHT TIMES)..of course it also shows how much the rest of his teams sucks donkey balls.
Anyways, I think whoever wins the spurs/suns series is going to be the nba champs for 2007. What about the east, you ask? Yeah...what about them?

This work week is absolute hell on earth. Seriously. I think total i'm going to have had about 20-25 meetings total this week, and probably end up working close to 60 hours. The good news is at least the team i'm working with now is at my site, rather than germany. I'm happy about that because the 8am meetings are no more, and it's just easier to get shit done when the people you're working with are in the same time zone and 3 minutes away by foot.
So last weekend was busy. Had stuff to do everyday. First on Sat there was Derek/Becky's wedding. It was interesting because everything was at the church. The ceremony, reception, the whole shebang. Derek sang a song for Becky, which was awesome cuz dude can sing. The service was pretty religious, but not as super religious as I had expected, AND it was only an hour. My friend pointed out to me that if it had been a catholic wedding, I would have been there for hours.
Anyways, it was cool seeing everyone after a long week and all that. Also, the meatballs were good. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to talk to Mr or Mrs Derek Avery - they took off pretty quick after everything was done. But whatevers. I'm sure i'll see them when they get back from their honeymoon. And if I don't, well, they got some cups out of it, and I got some meatballs. Sounds like a fair trade to me.
Then on Sat night, they headed out to Agenda for bob's bday. I was supposed to go, but I agreed to wait for a friend coming back from the east bay (Now you owe me that bread from your street =P) And of course, I find out a few days later from bob that: 1) The music except for one song was fucking awesome. 2) There was hella space to dance. WTF. I like how the one time i don't go to Agenda, it's the club night from heaven. Weak. Sauce. Anyways, headed over to the jab house to meet up with everyone after the club, where i was reminded that it's more fun to be the sober one when talking to drunk folks.
Sunday went to an expensive mother's day brunch with jon and his mom and her friends. I went cuz Jon wanted company amongst the old people, and because my parents were in hawaii. This brunch features a popular hawaiian singer (I've never heard of her) who sang some hawaiian songs, and some country songs. She talked really fast and I understood none of her jokes. She can sing well, but echoing jon's sentiments, I didn't get anything out of her performance. also the food was okay, but for the amount I paid, I expected there to be some quality hawaiian food. Also the show was 3 hours long. Well, at least it was at a nice venue, and now i know never to see her again. Minus another 100 points for forcing the religion on me. This is the bay area - you don't fucking make a big ass group of people say grace before we eat. Bitches.
The rest of sunday I spent lying around. It was fucking awesome. I think i've forgotten how nice it is to just have some time to yourself and just kicking back.

This weekend a friend from SD is coming up and I'm heading up to SF to go clubbing. Haven't done that in a long ass time. I think we're going to some club that's having some kind of grad party for cal peoples. It's 21+ but still. i think it's gonna be lame. Oh wells, I'm hoping we'll do the whole get there early and leave there early, get some late night chow, then head home. Maybe I'll hit up bay or garden really late on Sat night. Mmm hmm.
I gotta start writing some of that poetry again. I think it's been long enough, and the thoughts in my mind are significantly different -- so I think that I can try it again.

LOL
Two good things from today.
1) I'm working from home
http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2007/work.at.home/dilbert/
2) I read this story on msn.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18583296/
Just so you know, the Boston Pops is famous, more for their christmas concert. It's an orchestra, and they play great music. Okay, I REALLY don't know why i find this so funny. I mean, i usually don't laugh out loud at stuff, but this story really had me cracking up (after watching the video). I mean, what kind of dumbasses get into a fight at a concert that features orchestra music???? And then you have to look at the fight itself, wihch is even funnier. I think the image itself is funny. Two old fat white dudes fighting at a classical music concert. It's like everything in the environment is adding to the fact that they're old. It's like if two really old guys were having a fight using their dentures at a bingo game at the senior citizen community center, you know what i'm saying?? And then dude's shirt comes off!!!! AT A CLASSICAL MUSIC CONCERT!!! OMG HILARIOUS. Holy crap, can you imagine if you were that guy's kid? Next day at school, "my dad got kicked out of a classical music concert cuz he was fighting". Then even the Math Club will call you a loser. God I love stupid people! Puts a smile on my face!

2 months. That's how long I'm going to give myself to lose weight. Why? Well, J's vegas trip is in two more months, and I want to lose weight by then. I figure it gives me a goal to shoot for. By then, it'll be damn hot in vegas. Meaning perfect to get a tan. Now, to have me even think about getting a tan is unheard of because I can't remember the last time I got half naked in public. So it'll be interested to see what I can do if I just do some hard work for two months. No bullshitting. If I can take 2 inches off my stomach and chest, i'll be extremely happy. Lets see.
As for work, it's really pissing me off right now. I had a meeting today where I pretty much almost lost it twice. I can't stand it when people talk down to me, especially if it's a coworker, not a supervisor and not a manager. It's funny how there's one fucking asshole in the whole dept, and I have to work with him. It's fucking bullshit. I also got the news that I'm going to be working on this one project for "indefinitely". This is the project that I can't stand, that I was told was going to be finished in Nov of 2006. I'm gonna go for 1.5 years and then I'm going to request that I be moved to a different project.
7 meetings tomorrow. SHITload of work. I don't mind having a ton of work. I do mind not enjoying the work that I'm doing.
Really pissed right now.

Ah Tuesday.
5 meetings today. Sweet.
Work has been going okay. Last week was out of control, but this week is super lax. The problem is I'm working on two projects that are SO fucking lax. So some weeks i'll have hella work to do, and then the following week i'll have so little work that I barely do anything. I'd much rather have lots to do and be working my ass off so I that I can learn more and plus the day goes by faster when there's more work to keep you busy. Oh wells.
Okay, really gotta limit my indian food intake. The shit is tasty, but it fucks up my digestive system every time. I think I'll limit it to like 3 times a year. If that.
- - -
Now wednesday. I always do that shit. Save it as a draft then forget about it. So today i had only two meetings. Yay. and once again, I have this situation where I have work to do, but I need to wait for some feedback in order to do it. So here I sit. Zzzzzzzzzz.
I want to go to Japan later on...like next fall or winter. Probably visit my cousin out there.
- - -
Shit I did it again. Lol. Aight now it's Thursday. 3 meetings today. Awesome.
Okay, this new work out i'm doing is DEATH. It's such a difference concept from what i've done before. I think I like it better. But omg. DEATH. Like how bad is it? Lets just say that even after I got home and I was eating dinner, I was still hella sweating. Which is good.
I gotta lose weight in two months because I'm going to vegas again! And this time I didn't even need to plan it. My friend planned one and invited me along. Sweet yos. That doesn't mean I'm not gonna keep planning mine, but maybe just for a little later =P
k i'm sure i'm gonna come up with more stuff to write about, but I'm gonna end this blog before I let it sit around until Friday.

k i'm sure i'm gonna come up with more stuff to write about, but I'm gonna end this blog before I let it sit around until Friday.
