another long week starts at work. I'll be pulling at least 50 hours this week, if not more. sweeeet.

don't you wish you could make it all stop for just a second?
this is how it is. this is reality.
good or bad, you accept it. you appreciate it. you learn from it.
experiences are experiences.
the flavor you give it all depends on your perspective.
but sometimes, it's just too much. too much to take in. too much. A cortex overload.
I guess one gets tired sometimes of trying to find the good in everything. the lesson in everything. the reason why it happened the way it happened. Thank goodness it ended up that way because it's probably for the best. again and again. blah blah blah.
whatever happened to just finding the positive in something
without having to strain your mouth into a smile?
one shouldn't have to. Not all the time, anyways.
who knows?
my head hurts. tired of having to do mental rearrangements.
the storm.
make it stop
for just one second.

every night i dream.
i dream of this and of that.
outside i can tell myself that i'm strong enough and good enough. That i have this and don't need that. don't need that. Never need that. Never. For now.
but inside, i can't lie to myself.
And if i can't provide for myself, then my brain provides for itself.
A personal understanding that goes beyond words or images.
Creating solutions to what i lack.
So when I say that I want to dream forever,
don't take that as that I want to sleep forever.
I only want my life to open up to what my mind perceives
as the ideal life.
I believe it can.
Is it really that stupid to want to dream with my eyes open?
I'm a sleepy idiot, running halfway between the road and the clouds.

I'm tired.
I'll talk to you laters.
My perspective is a blog better make you laugh or make you think. I'm trying to keep it real while keeping it funny. Life isn't always humorous, but one's perspective on it can and should always be. Heavy on the funny, heavy on the sarcasm.

This blog will be random. As always.
Last Saturday I tried absinthe, now that it's legal in this country. How was it? Well, let me just say that if you hate the taste of black licorice, then this is not the drink for you. It tasted/smelled just like a spicy black licorice..which, while I don't mind licorice, it still tasted pretty ass. It was difficult getting that second shot down without gagging. But I was quickly rewarded with a nice strong buzz that wasn't accompanied by the usual immediate headache/hangover symptoms. I was so buzzed that I went upstairs to go take a piss, heard a song I liked on the computer, and laid down to listen to it..for like 20 minutes. Then Shan came up and I was probably talking nonsense. Anyways, I probably won't drink it again unless it's mixed in with something, but it was definitely a nice buzz. Apparently they're already serving it in vegas (bottle service). I would not be happy if I had never had absinthe before and someone got that as bottle service and that's how i discovered how it tasted.

This christmas season was cool and a little not so cool. Lets start off with the not so cool:
-Vacation ended. That sucks. Okay, lets ignore the fact that I was on break from Dec 14 to Jan 7. I didn't go anywhere, which I should have. But the main problem here is that I had to go back to work. No one likes that.
-My diet went all kinds of wack. It's not that I ate a lot of bad food. It's that I ate bad food period that bothers me. That and the fact that I didn't have a lot of time to exercise because my days were filled with stuff. I have to stick to the gym plan dammit!!!
Okay now for the cool stuff:
-Friends. I saw a lot of people this xmas break. Some people who I haven't seen in YEARS. Hung out a lot with the local crew of course...then also saw Julia, Brian Hioe, Grace, Daryl, Annie Wang, Leslie, Alan, Christina, Fiona...man, I was swamped with chilling times every day - it was awesome. Got a lot of meals..checked out some new places..(I had "bangers and mash" for the first time...that was interesting). It was cool catching up with everyone. Everyone needs to move back to the bay area!!!
-Family. My cousin recently moved to the south bay, so I've been chilling with him more. He's one of my cousins that I'm closer to, so that's been cool.
-Presents. I got some cool presents this year. hahaha. Let me just say that, honestly, ANY present is a good present. Anytime someone decides to put a thought or a dollar into getting something for me, then that's awesome. It's the thought that counts. I will now hold my tongue with a pair of steel pliers, as I laugh ridiculously. Honestly, tho, thanks to all my friends who took the time to get me an xmas present. I DO appreciate it.
However, two people I do need to give a sincere thanks to are my parents. My mom and dad always go the extra mile for me and my brother. This year, among other things, they surprised me with a brand new GPS, which was perfect because I have the worst sense of direction, and I was in the market to look for one anyways. My mom kept telling me, "you should wait until after christmas to get one because they'll be cheaper", but that's because she wanted to surprise me. I'm very lucky to have parents as great as my mom and dad are- I never forget that.

NYE was the typical house party at the JAB house. A bunch of people were there, and it reminded me of the house parties that I'd go to in college, in that I knew everyone there. The night started off good, with me saying that I wasn't going to drink until midnight so that I could dance. I definitely got my dance on for the first half of the night. It was good times. Then I started drinking a little...then some more..and some more..and I still didn't feel like I was drunk..so I had some more and some more. And then I realized...oh shit. I'm drunk. I was so drunk that I watched the entire Transformers movie after everyone left and I was just lying on the couch. The funny thing is, by the end of the movie, I was so fucking sick of watching the Transformers cartoon that I asked Jon to turn the damn tv off because it was making me sick just seeing "those fuckers". Anyways, it was a fun new years eve. A great way to end the year..surrounded by good friends, good alcohol, and a dance floor that's always got enough room to get my boogie on. Even if I don't end up doing something big and crazy next year, as long as we keep having these kinds of parties, I'll be happy. It's nice being able to control the music, catch up with people, and not have to worry about driving home or paying for expensive drinks.
NYE is a funny holiday tho. I mean it's pretty much like you meet up to party, then the actual holiday is like a 10 seconds (the countdown), and then you party afterwards. So pretty much it's a 1 second holiday that serves as an excuse to party. Then at midnight everyone yells, throws cut up pieces of paper in the air, couples engage in mass PDA, single people engaged in yelling "get a fucking room" all at the same time, and I stand there wondering when they're going to put the music back on. I do think that when the clock strikes 12, it's the best photo op of the whole year. I think of the best pictures I've ever seen are from NYE, just because of the emotion and action that comes out in every shot.

Dude, I love reading cryptic emo blogs. They're so weird and stupid and sad at the same time. Like when someone puts up a picture of themselves with another person blurred out, or a b&w picture of a person lookings sad. Then they write something like "How do I forget...those moments when you held me...I guess I have to..." or "You said you'd always be there to catch me. Now I'm cold. Where is the door?" or "Life turns in weird ways. I thought your smile would light my way. I like prunes...." Usually, or should I say the majority of the time, the authors of these kinds of emo blogs are college girls (or me, circa 2000. Kick me in the head)

2007 was a good year for me..though it may not seem that way from an outsider's view. I believe that overall, I grew up a lot this past year, and gained a better acceptance/understanding of myself and my life.
In addition, I took it upon myself to start busting my ass in the gym. I lost about 10 pounds, and I'm looking to lose 10-15 more. I kind of hit a snag this past holidays...eating too much sugar..not going to the gym. But now I have a new goal. A buddy of mine is getting married in August, and I'd like to slim up enough to buy a new suit. That would be nice. So I'm going to set that as a long term goal..lose 10-15 more pounds by August. Another long term goal is to get myself (my body shape anyways) to look like Brad Pitt in Fight Club. I'll set that goal to be finished by the year 3000. Both of these things that I've done in 2007, however, are still running goals. These are not things that can be accomplished - they're ongoing projects. And I'm happy about that. It keeps me running at a steady pace. It helps me focus my energies both inward and outward so that I can gain the kind of clarity that will allow me to drop stress, anxiety, and make it impossible for me NOT to be happy. I believe that too many people, myself included are obsessed with finding ways to rid ourselves of the negativity...but I believe that the trick is to understand and accept the negatives..because when you realize that there is no escaping them, you escape them. When you realize that there is no liberation, you are liberated. I look forward to 2008 to see what happens. I still have much to work on, and that makes me happy.

Man I WANT to go to vegas! There are a couple clubs/bars I want to check out. There's even a lounge in Luxor that has cheaper bottle service prices..i'm all for that. I want to go eat some good food, gamble a lot, drink it up, dress up, go clubbing, etc. I haven't been there in a while. Hopefully i'll be going in Feb sometime, but I'm skepitcal that we'll actually end up going. I mean, the dude who's supposed to be planning it can't even answer emails. Yeah TONY. I'm calling you out!

Dude, so Tuesday night I had the worst migraine I've ever had in my entire life. It was a full blown bona fide migraine and everything - had an "aura" and the whole bit (see "migraine" in wikipedia if you don't know what i'm talking about). It was so bad I yacked 4 times and laid on my floor holding my head for 3 hours. The pain was ridiculous - like grit your teeth, can't do shit except lie there ridiculous. Then i finally passed out around 5am. Work was real fun the next day, let me tell you.
- - -
Okay seriously..seriously?? The suitcase models on Deal or No Deal are the hottest girls EVER. I don't want to sound like a horndog, but they were wearing some pretty low cut tops on the show i saw on Wednesday and it was like, "YO". Even my dad was like "whoa!". But seriously SERIOUSLY..NO SERIOUSLY. If I ever got a girl who looked like that (and was nice and smart and cute and funny), then I WIN.
- - -
Oh my god..I hope when when I turn 30...okay fine...40, that if I tell my friends that I want to go clubbing, that they punch me so hard in the face that I come back to reality. I'm not trying to be age discriminatory, but if you're old...hit up the lounge/bar. Leave the clubbing to the younger generations. If you really want to dance, then put on that old 78, and cut up the rug with some foxtrot, you ol' dog you!

And now it's Friday. I started this blog on Monday. Tonight gonna head out to Club Six in the city for Bryant's bday. According to yelp, Club Six is a piece of ghetto shit. However, all my friends say it was fun when they went. But hey, no dress code + supposedly good music + big dance floor? That equals the good times, my friends. If not, well, nothing that a cup of green tea and a couple hours of COD4 can't fix.
Saturday I'm waking up hella early to hit up Valley Fair to do some shopping (crazy sales). Then Sunday going to a home poker tourney that my brother's friends set up for his birthday. Other than that, gotta hit the gym and find other ways to fill my time. I should probably blog more. Ones that I can complete in the same day.

so where did all those recent blogs go? Erased. I mean, they were just taking up room. They were like one liner, cryptic, semi-emo bullshit. It made the blog look cluttered. We run a tight ship here. Shit needs to be clean.
Anyways, I figure I'm going to be stuck a work for a couple more hours anyways, I might as well take a little break and blog a little since I haven't blogged anything with much substance since 2001...I mean, a few weeks ago.
So what have I been up to. Let's see. Expect a lot of jumps to different things without smooth transitions.

DAMN DUDE. My sports teams!!! Cal...so close to number one...went on a nice little losing streak. What happened??? We were so close...images of the Rose Bowl dancing in my head. But it seems like all of a sudden every single pac-10 team decided to SUCK it up. Except for Arizona (ZZZZZZZ) and Oregon (Pro: Dixon is an excellent, and FAST, QB. Stewart is a crazy ass RB. and it's my pop's alma mater. Cons: Ugliest uniforms in the Pac-10. Shit looks like a beat up Hummer. What the hell is up with the shoulders?) AND EVEN WORSE, The Warriors. Don't get me wrong. Golden State had a long period of stank that sucked, and I was still a fan. And I don't care if they go 0-30 this season..I'm a diehard fan. They're getting better...they're still without Jackson. Biedrins needs to stop with the butterfingers. Davis needs to get hot..he's dropping some good numbers, but it's still not there. All in all, they're not the scrappy team that was playing last season. Plus Hudson, Barnes, and Azubuike have injuries. And now Ellis has the flu! It's all good...it'll come together because WE STILL BELIEVE. Give it some time. Wright will shake off the rookie-ness, Biedrins will stop the errors, Davis will get crazy, Harrington will repeat his performance from the first games, Ellis will be the ideal 6th man (like he did last night), and then Capt. Jack will come back and they will be unstoppable.

I'm back in the gym...it's only day number 3. But I'm trying to keep it up for two weeks straight. Then I'll shoot for another two weeks. Then another two weeks and another. I'd like to be skinny by the new year, and skinny and cut by the time I head to Japan. It's so fucking hard for me to lose weight tho. I swear. It's like everyone else just has to eat right and walk, and they drop the poundage. My body is so used to looking like nast that I swear it straight FIGHTS me when I try and lose some weight. Well, I'll get there or die trying.

I caved in and bought an xbox 360 and a new TV. No purchases for a while. It felt good to make a purchase for myself tho. It's been a long time since I bought myself something nice. And speaking of nice, DAMN I'm digging the clothes and club monaco. Why TF does that shit need to cost so much???? MAN, I can't be spending almost TWO BILLS on a SINGLE PAIR OF JEANS. Damn why do they have to look so good.

Okay, time for another relationship-ish rhetorical question. A good relationship is awesome. It's like the perfect cup of lemonade, and everyone loves a nice, tall, refreshing glass of lemonade. Yum. HOWEVER, a fucked up relationship is like a tall boiling hot cup of lemon juice poured on a cut on your tongue. Yowch. Tell me why the following happens.
1) Guy meets girl. They flirt. They go out.
2) Fun happens. Dates turn into relationships. Hooray.
3) Time goes on. Guy starts acting like a dick. Guy starts taking girl for granted. Guy starts acting in ways that make other people think "he doesn't deserve this girl"
4) Girl refuses to let go. Guy continues to be a dick.
5) Girl gets upset. Becomes numb. Still refuses to give up guy. Guy continues to be a dick.
6) Guy remains the same. Perhaps gets worse. Probably gets worse. Refuses to change. Continues to be a dick.
7a) Girl still refuses to give up on guy. Guy continues to be a dick.
OR
7b) Girl will dump guy, but not really dumb him because she'll take him back in less time it takes a fart to disappear in a hurricane. It's more like she just does it because she thinks she should. Guy continues to be a dick as soon as she takes him back.
now before you go getting your boxers/panties/boxer briefs/thong all up in a twist, it's not all the girls fault. Something definitely needs to be said for the testicle-lacking, insecure, pansies that don't appreciate what they got. Okay let me rephrase that. Maybe it's not a matter of the guy dating a great girl, because maybe in the relationship the girl isn't the one. Okay fine. The point is the guy should be a man and end it then so that both parties can walk away with some kind of integrity. And of course, there's the bigger concern that HEY, you're a fucking adult! Didn't your parents ever teach you to respect girls and more than that, just to have some common fucking courtesy? Guess not.
But the girls. Why do you put up with it? I mean OKAY, time for another disclaimer to save myself some ass-whooping from my female buddies. Time for the list of disclaimers, aka, how I keep myself from getting jumped by a bunch of girls (because they can and they will... *cry*)
1) I know it's hard. When emotions get involved, control is taken away, because you can't think straight, you can't act right. You're all messed up like a bowl of soggy corn flakes. I mean..fuck, of COURSE we'd all like it if we could just turn off our emotions toward someone when they're being a fucking killjoy, but unfortunately, the amygdala don't work that way (thank youuuuuu, biology class!)
2) These kind of situations are definitely tricky. It's not like there's a set or single solution that you can apply here because it seems like no matter what you do, it just leads to more drama.
okay, now that i've added that paragraph and my lawyers have been notified, I can go back to the scheduled program. Why do you put up with it? The guy is being an asshole! Are you that afraid of being alone? If you are, that's fine! Shit, no one likes being lonely. And quite frankly, if you have an option of eliminating it, then of course you're going to take it. Shit. I would! But I'm a guy, and 1) a guy can't admit that he's lonely because "I'm lonely" sounds a) EMO b) similar to "I'm a loser"...how appropriate c) EMO!!! *cue music* "Why did this happen to meeeeee...I made a mistakeeeee". So I DO understand the pain and misery that lonliness can bring. And so if you, as girls, may have found someone to take that lonliness away, because it IS easier for you to both admit lonliness and find a solution for it (lets be real here), then I certainly can't blame you for taking that opportunity! But is eliminating lonliness the same as being happy? I don't think so...that's just my opinion.
I mean, maybe we can't always have the things we really want. But that's life. For right now.
I mean come on now...lets be frank. Part of growing up is realizing that 1) Life ain't fair 2)There is always going to be things that you can't have and that's life 3) Not having the things that you want will help open your eyes to the things that you DO have, or at least open your eyes to the true things that you should strive for!!. Why would you want to be with a guy who treats you bad or takes you for granted in the first place! I mean in the end you'll end up with
a) a guy who treats you like shit and takes you for grated even more than now, AND he'll be less likely to change because he knows for sure he can get away with it, but you'll refuse to let him go because "we've come this far" and "but if I break up it'll mean we did all that for nothing"
b) a guy who you no longer love because you've had to take such a large role in his "development" (aka getting him to change) that you've created him. And no girl can love a guy who she's created (you'll think "why did it take this to make you change??")
c) if married (oh god)..oh man I don't even want to go there.
I am not trying to chastize or demoralize or put down anyone who is in this situation. I'm just telling you. All of you. That you're worth more than how he/she treats you. Hell, you're worth more than a relationship! Your worth knows no bounds, goddammit, but you're letting it be limited by a single relationship in which the person who you're stick on a pedastle isn't give you the same back. You're an amazing person, waiting to fly, grounded by an ingrate who doesn't appreciate life, and certainly doesn't appreciate you.
So here's your love: You're awesome. And here's your tough love: Get some fucking backbone, you wuss.
Done and done. Send all complaints to your congressperson.

There is great entertainment in talking to someone who is falling asleep but still tries to participate in the coversation.
Person A: So I'm going to be taking off then.
Person B (falling asleep): Wait! Are you sure? How will we eat????
Person A: What? What are you talking about??
Person B: (falling asleep) Okay. Okay. I just wanted to make sure.
Usually I'm person B, btw.

Here are the top six things that I think if I did mentally, I would be a happier person for sure:
1) Stop being so critical of myself - by doing this, I think i would stop being so critical of other people. It's amazing. If I wrote down the thoughts I have of myself in my head, you would think I really hated myself. I'm not saying that shit for pity. I'm saying it because it's true.
2) Forgive myself - for a lot of things... mostly in the past.
3) Accept my flaws...tolerate the things I can't change. Realize that this is who I am, and find the positive in that.
4) Stop having such high expectations for things that I can't control.
5) Realize that there is no such thing as "how my life should be"
6) Realize that emotion is not a sign of weakness. That maybe having a good amount of emotion is what strength is. Strength has nothing to do with power. It has to do with being comfortable in your own skin.

What is hell? Hell is not being able to eat sugar or wheat during thanksgiving and xmas.
Thanksgiving dinner - turkey, vegetables, gravy. No yams, no pie, no ice cream, no stuffing, no rolls, no cranberry.
Xmas - no cookies, candies, eggnog, peppermint canes, etc. Merry fucking xmas to you too.

I love it when people brag about their kids, and I love it when people brag about their significant other. That's a pure dead end comment. What do we say to that? I mean it's pointless - I would think that we know that you're a little fucking bias. Of course you're going to say that you're kid/gf/bf is fucking awesome!!!
BTW, that reminds me. I've finally found the EPITOME of a "dead end comment". I use to have a hard time coming with one on the spot...but i've found one, thanks to a good friend of mine.
And here it is:
"Man, I love my wife!!!"
WHAT THE HELL DO YOU SAY TO THAT? "uh...okay?", "why?"( with a grossed out look), and finally "Yeah, I love your wife too...in that way. Thanks for killing the conversation, you socially inept prick"
It's probably the jealousy talking. Nothing a cold beer can't fix.

(this shit is funny. What's even funnier is I saw a pic of this guy without his helmet. If you saw him, you would NOT think he had moves like that. I hope I run into this guy when I go to Japan)

Yesterday was Jon's bday. We had a pie potluck. There was so much food, and WAY too many pies. Seriously there was like 12 pies. It will never be finished, and Jon will keep them until they are unfit to eat and will still eat them. That is how Jon rolls. Whoever created the phrase, "waste not, want not" would be extremely proud of Jon. Anyways, there was a good number of people who showed up, and there was some good conversation. Unfortunately, it was on a weeknight, so a lot of people left early because they needed to sleep. I left last. I got less than 5 hours of sleep and nearly fell asleep at my morning meeting. Because that's how you do it when you're young. You sleep little, live hard by falling asleep at meetings, and eat a lot of pie. Do work, son.
I am happy right now because the project i'm working on at work finally did not fail in it's installation, and now I get to sit here for three hours to document it and see how long it takes to install. Wheeeee.
Thanks Mr. and Mrs. H for the belated bday present. They got me this thing from sharper image that sucks the extra air out of a bottle of unfinished wine, so it'll keep longer. This is the perfect gift considering I just bought 3 bottles of the wine that i had been looking for. There is ONE store that carries it and I was ecstatic to find out that they still had some (the winery that produced it had run out). I was going to buy 10 bottles of it, but I figured that was kind of a lot. I think I may go back to buy one more tho, because I think four is enough.
anyways, it's only wednesday and i really wish it was friday. Oh wells.
oh boy! time for a relationship rant. Lately i've been noticing a bunch of different things around me, and while all of them are different, I'm going to smash them all together into one rant. ready??? =D
I don't get it. I really don't. I understand that love, or what you think is love, is strong. and blind, and deaf, and dumb. But how is it that love, or what wanting of it, or the paranoia of being alone, can make you lose all respect for yourself? I see so many people where they either keep getting back with someone who disrespects them, or is so LOCKED on someone who clearly is not good for them that it's mind numbing. There are so many people out there..so many people who can make you happy in different ways...why get stuck on one person? and even worse than that, if you've given someone a chance, and they failed in a not so nice way, why would you go back to them? why would you consider going back them? Why would you think you're not good enough to say "you know what? all the old fucking cliches ARE true. It IS your loss, and I DO deserve someone better".
You know, it's so easy to say that it's too hard. It's so easy to stick with what you know, with what you're comfortable with. It's so easy. I read a xanga where the author had gotten into a fight with their significant other, and had said how they had been together for so long that the spark had gone out. "where was the fun?", they asked. "I thought relationships were supposed to fun and wonderful". They then went on to say that it they were taking each other for granted. They then said, that it didn't matter because a week from now, they would just end up apologizing to each other, and the cycle would continue. They ended it with saying that they would just end up getting married eventually. All i'm going to say is: Wow. It's so easy to stick with what you know. But all you need to do is step back. Yes, I KNOW IT'S CLICHE, but you have to learn. and i'm not talking about stepping back as in "you know, I think I should date again" or "I need to find someone better". I mean in terms of your life. It takes a long time..it took me YEARS to learn how, and I'm not that good at it. It's so hard to explain in written word...but you have to learn how to step back and look at yourself and see why you're doing the things you do.
I don't think it's bad to fall in love with someone. love them. LOVE THEM UNTIL YOUR FACE HURTS. But godDAMMIT...you should NEVER NEED someone. Love and necessity are two different things. Love and fear of being alone are two different things. Do you know what true love is? I probably don't, but I think the best thing I learned about it was that true love helps you understand yourself better. It helps you appreciate yourself. It helps you love yourself. Okay this shit is getting way too complicated. At this point, this entry would be like 40 pages. My point is...I guess I just don't understand. I don't understand how people can get stuck on someone who clearly is not right/not good/not helping for them. That is not love. That is infatuation.
Now, what kind of psycho analyst and student of human nature would I be if I didn't turn the microscope on myself. I do think that the reason why I dislike it...is because I've been there..i was super infatuated, I couldn't let go...all of that. And I hated who I was when I acted like that. Those things I labeled as "weak", and I have a thing with being walked all over and being seen as "weak". That's one of my insecurities. The truth is when I see people acting like that, it reminds me of who I used to be, and I guess I just can't stand it. Because while I truly believe I've grown up, there's always the fear that I might be like again (very unlikely), and I would seriously kick myself in the balls like 20 times.

DAMN DUDE.
Cal has a bye week. Hopefully Longshore's ankle will heal up good for Oregon State. The game last week against Oregon was awesome. The last play where Ezeff hit the Oregon player for a touchback was a fucking OMG moment. But it all worked out. I definitely like Oregon's fast style -I'll definitely be watching them play Washington State this coming weekend. And of course the Cal game.
UCLA loses to Notre Racist Dame, who was 0-5. UCLA is a weird team this season. They win, the they lose to Utah, then win again, then lose to ND. I really wanted ND to have a no win season. Damn.
LSU barely beats Florida (That was a good game!). Sucks. If Florida had won, I think Cal would have moved up to No. 1. That would have been crazy. I think the last time was up that high was in the 50's. (Note: Yup, I just checked...1951 to be exact).
Stanford beats USC. WTF!!! NO WAY. Stanford was a FORTY-ONE point underdog! I really thought that Stanford was going to get their asses kicked, especially after the comments that the coach said about Carroll. I seriously could NOT BELIEVE this. Nuts. Nuts. I dislike both teams, but man..I seriously thought USC was going to chop some trees and head back home. I mean dude, USC had a 35 game winning streak. And the craziest part is the QB for Stanford...well, that was his FIRST game because he was the backup QB!!!! I wonder if he'll get the starting job now. Now the question is if Stanford keeps the streak up or goes back to their shitty ways.
Man, this is why I love football, and this is why I love college ball. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN.

Everyday at lunch I go to cnn's webpage and read the news, watch news videos. Here's two that I thought were pretty funny.
First, there's this school in New Hampshire. Their senior shirt has "High school seniors" on the front, with the word "High" being larger than the other words, but not by too much. On the back, there's an 08 with a paw print (their mascot is an animal), and it says "pushing the limit". The placement of the paw print make it look like .08, which is the legal limit a person's blood alcohol level if you're under 21. In the interview, several students said they didn't agree with it, so they wore their shirts inside out. They said the .08 and the fact that the word "high" is larger than the rest of the words isn't cool. Their faces weren't shown because they'd probably get their asses beat at school. Then a parent of a student said she complained, but the school said they wouldn't ban the shirts. She said that they should have apologized, admitted that they made a mistake, and done something about it.
DUDE. WHO CARES. IT'S A FUCKING SHIRT. I'm sorry, but this story is pretty damn funny to me. Probably because a good friend of mine designed his school's senior shirt, and hid "fuck [name of school]" and "DoMaiMe" in pager code on the shirt. It's not that big of a deal. Cuz see, here's the thing. If a shirt is all it takes to make your kid become an alkie, that's pretty fucking sad. Likewise, if the kid is drinking already, I don't a fucking shirt is going to make a difference. There are a bunch of reasons why people drink underage, and a fucking SHIRT ain't it.
Second story I saw was about this kid who, as a joke, ran for homecoming queen. He said he's a goofball and didn't expect to win. But he did, by 21 votes. That's fucking hilarious. But then this old broad who was homecoming queen 20 years ago is interviewed, and she says, "this is a total humilatio on the school district". However, the girl who ran against dude for the homecoming queen title said"can't get mad about it, people voted for it! It is what it is."
MAN. Okay, again, this is pretty funny to me because I don't get it when people are more into their high school than their college. I would think that most people are more into their college years, when you learn about life and growing up and shit, rather than high school, where you live at home, take SATs, and worry about getting into college. I don't get it. When I go to SD, and I walk on campus, I get a serious sense of nostalgia. As for high school, I haven't visited my high school since I GRADUATED from there.
And the second point. You see how the old bitch acted, and then how the young girl acted? I swear, old, stuck up people are the reason why the country is fucked up the way it is. It's the younger generation who keeps it real.
Both these stories also show why I'm never leaving california. When stories like that make the major news, then WOW.
Sorry, boring post.
It's the younger generation who keeps it real.

omfg. it's one of those weeks. Yesterday I worked 13 hours. Today I'm working 11. That is how this week is going. Looks to be one of those 50-60 hour workweeks. Awesome. Well at least we get free food. Nope! Okay at least we get free coffee. Nope! Well, at least we have a xmas party at the end of the year. NOPE!
Actually I'm kind of glad that there isn't an xmas party. It would be like a prom situation all over again, and no one wants that. But seriously, that would mean free food and free alcohol. Rats.
Well, I'll use this 30 minutes I have of free time inbetween testings to blog a little.
What was on my list...shit. Okay I forgot what "college people" was about, so we'll scrap that. Sneak girls....sneaky...girls...ohhhh right. So you know, I know it's easier for guys to fall for the feminine wiles of an attractive girl, but I think it's crazy how easily girls can make a guy do things. And what I mean by that is I'm extremely impressed. I mean, it's crazy to me how a large population (girls) as a whole have collectively learned this art, so to speak. Girls know exactly when/how/where/what to do to make us guys do things. Seriously, it's both impressive (on their part) and sad (on our part). Body movements, facial expressions, certain movements, certain words, tone of words, EVERYTHING. It's their secret weapon and it works every single time. The epitome of this in its rawest form would be the exotic dancer. I'll follow that point up with a story of the first time I went to a strip club (don't have time to write about it now). So yes, my hat goes off to you ladies. We men are suckers, but nevertheless, that takes away nothing from your skills. I am both impressed and dumbfounded at the same time. Bravo.
What sucks is we have nothing to counter it. We have no countermeasures to your torpedoes. Seriously. Maybe if we had some sort of "masculine wiles" that would affect you, we could stand there and say "Fight on!". But no. Instead we see the torpedo coming and we say "Guess we're gonna get hit.." And the funny thing bout that is we're HAPPY about it. Oh wells. That's life.
What else has been going on...nothing much.
In more uninteresting news, I located the wine that I bought last winter that I drank and enjoyed much more than the 160 bottle that I drank in vegas. I'm not sure how much this store has, but I'm going to buy probably 3 more bottles. Apparently it was a very good year. One bottle will be drank whenevers, the second will be saved for a special occassion, and the third will be kept for a long time, and drank on an extremely special occassion (or, much like my comic books, will be passed on to my kids, and it will make them rich...I think).
Damn..didn't get my potentially emo stuff. oh wells, that will have to wait till laters.
