Good weekend. I went to Mick/Frances' wedding. Minh and Cz came up, and we met up with Brian, Drew, Shane, Mick (of course). Saw some other high school peoples as well. Here are the highlights:
-The ceremony lasted SIX MINUTES. I'm not kidding. How fucking awesome is that.
-The wedding was smaller, with the total guest count being 125. The venue was nice. It looked like they were getting married in someone's large house. There were appetizers, a cocktail hour with free wine, beer, and mojitos, a dance floor, etc. It was nice.
-The centerpieces had REAL grapes in them, and drunk Cz picked out some for us to eat. They were good.
-Cz saying "FUCK THAT SHIT!" and threatening me. okay maybe that shouldn't be a highlight.
-The softest dinner napkins ever. Cz, Brian, and I must have looked weird rubbing our legs and making faces like "aaaaahhh...."
-Minh, cz, brian, shane, drew - everybody was buzzed. It was fun.
-Cz throwing a cracker across the room.
-Minh poking the cheese saying "What the fuck is this?"
-Battling the best man Marc on the dance floor. Nice moves, sir.
-Chilling with minh, cz, brian outside
-Minh and Brian chasing the deer away.
-The creepy DJ trying to dance with the bridesmaids near the end. wtf.
I had a GREAT time. It was seriously the best, most fun wedding I've been to yet. I'm going to be going to some more weddings this year, and I wonder if they'll be as fun as this wedding was. It was FUCKING AWESOME to catch up with a lot of my old high school friends. I agree with Drew's statement that it's amazing to see how easily it is for all of us to just fall back into our old routines.
There were some cute bridesmaids, but most of them were taken. Alas, such is life. The simple fact is the west coast single guy to single girl ratio is like fuckin' 10-1 , where as the east coast is the exact opposite (I'm not just saying that either.) It's too bad I didn't grow up in New York or Boston. Being the numbers are what they are, it's much more likely that if you meet a girl here who is cute and cool, well she probably has a boyfriend. Shoot, maybe I SHOULD move to the east coast.
anyways, the wedding was cool. It was just what I needed.

It's almost scary how with everything being tied up, I just don't care. I hope it's a sign of maturity and not just trying to avoid shit.
People show you who they really are in their actions. Their weaknesses, their strengths, what they believe is right and wrong. It makes it easier to know what to expect from people. What I am afraid of is that with some peoples patterns may form. That would not be good.
Explore to find what the best is in the world around you and put yourself in the position to be in the presence of those things as much as possible. I truly believe this will help you to develop into a better and happier person. I'm doing this and am going to continue to do this.
My perspective is a blog better make you laugh or make you think. I'm trying to keep it real while keeping it funny. Life isn't always humorous, but one's perspective on it can and should always be. Heavy on the funny, heavy on the sarcasm.

Random points
Ah. I guess this blog isn't getting deleted. Where would all these random thoughts in my head go.
And yet, that leads me to my first point. I recently read in article in Men's Health about how conversation and social skills are lost arts. In other words, we are a society that is swamped with technology, and are forgetting how to connect with one another in person. They said that the majority percentage of people stated that they are 1 death away from having no one to talk to , and that 19% of the population have absolutely no one that they feel close enough to talk to about intimate details of their lives. Man. This is something that I think about all the time. The amazing sense of irony that is found in the fact that we have so many ways to communicate with one another and yet none of them fulfill the emotional social connections that we crave/require. I can use my own life as an example. On most days I talk to no one. I rarely call anyone/receive calls from anyone to talk about my life/their life or just to chitchat. Conversation is about laughter ...it's about discussing politics/philosophy/life/that really good fried chicken you just had. I barely talk to anyone these days. There are friends who I never talk to unless it's online. And to be perfectly honest with you, there are days where I feel empty simple because there is no one to talk to. It's not that I don't have close enough friends to talk to - that's hardly the case. It's just that all of us are just waiting for everyone else to call, and we're all getting nowhere. Just food for thought.

I think I'm destined to not get a new job.
- -
I HATE the fact that I find "Damaged" by Dannity Kane extremely catchy. WTF. The lyrics are beyond retardation, and yet as soon as that beat comes on I think man it would be tight to hear this in a club so I could dance to it. Then I'm forced to chug a beer and watch some lesbian porn to regain my manhood. SIGH.
- - -
Deep house and jazz are what i'm currently into. If I could find a chill jazz lounge to check out, that would be the shiz.
- - -
As it stands, I'm going to vegas four times before the year ends. This is ridiculous. But hopefully it will make up for the last few trips to vegas.

The party at the BJS house (previously know as the JAB house) was pretty cool. The alcohol was free flowing, the pepcid AC kicked in nicely (NO redness and 10 shots!). I was super buzzed, almost drunk, and feeling good. Here are some random statements about it:
-"Who the fuck invited this guy???" LOL!!! (no really, I'm laughing out fucking loud thinking about that one)
-Only she could show up to a party in her PJs. Where's the fam? =*( jk. sorta.
-Table: 0 Scott:1
-Don't listen to any promises I make when I'm drunk. They will be forgotten or not kept.
-"Dude, she's 19." "She's super hot." "Dude, she's 19.""She's super hot!" "Okay, she's hot."
-You can apparently drink water through your forehead.
-Color of bottom of socks at the end of the night: Black. Case for leaving my shoes on in the house: Rested.
-Sober people at a party where I'm buzzed/drunk makes the world cry and makes puppies die. DD's can go watch a movie or sit in the car. There, now we can be friends again.
- - -
This next point will first make a creepy point, and then a more real one. Ready?
OMG. I hate the internet. I hate social networking sites. I really do. And why do I hate them? Because they turn me into a stalker. Okay, not really, but you know what I mean. Here's what I mean before you think I hide in bushes with binoculars. I sign on to MyFaceSpaceBook and see that a friend of mine has updated their pics. Sweet! Something to look at while at my boring job. View album. Cool. Oh. New pic. Wow. That girl my friend is with is really cute. Really cute!. And that's it! It sucks ass! I mean what do I do now. Well, I could do several things:
1) Ask my friend what's up with that girl. Friend would most likely tell me that she has a bf. Friend will not tell the girl about me because I'm nothing to brag about. Dude, seriously. Let's be real here. Yeah, i know that sometimes people have that friend who everyone wants to hook up. But usually that friend DOESN'T ASK FOR IT. When a friend DOES ASK FOR IT, it's usually met with indifference. Sucks ass but it's true. And dont shake your head, cuz you put your heart arrows away a long time ago, so cram it. EPIC FAIL.
2) I could randomly ask the girl out. But lets see. Chances of not looking like a loser by asking as girl out on any internet server: 0%. Chances of looking like a stalker: 100%. Chances of looking like a stalker even after telling them how you found their pic: 100%. Chances that they'll be pissed at their friend now: 100%. Let's be real. Asking someone out via a message on myspacefacebookorkutetc is like texting someone "111177-4011-60-0117-111174-1774" (that's right I brought it back son!). And asking someone out via a message on those sites without having met them first is downright, yeah, yup, CREEPY. EPIC FAIL.
And so why do I bring this up? Because, here we go. Zero to creepy in 6 seconds.
So I was looking at my friend's pics and I see this girl, and she actually knows a few people that I know. And I'm just saying, she's like the perfect combination of cute/hot that I've seen in a long time. Now, for all I know, she could have a weird personality, but she's like cheery and smiling in every pic. But man, okay, I'm gonna stop typing about this now, because with each word typed I sound more like a creepy stalker, but I'll just say that if I was at a bookstore/grocery story/club/etc, and I saw a girl like that, I would try my damndest to ask her out. And that's crazy because I never ever do stuff like that. So yeah. I hate the fucking internets. I'd rather not have seen that girl at all, and then I'd be fine.
Which leads to another point. With all of the loose ends in my life right now being tied up, I've realized that when you have no options, life feels good. But then when you see something you want, or something you possibly need, then all of a sudden you have a possible option. And now life doesn't feel so serene and zen like.
- - -
Of course, this probably leads to another good point in wanting what you want have. I can probably count up all the things I've wanted in the past year, and the reason why I want them is because I can't have them. I mean it's weird. Once you realize that you can't afford this or she likes someone else or that would be impossible because of your work schedule, you beat yourself up because you can't have it. Mix in some regret and you got yourself a nice way to bring a good day down.
okay I just got super tired and it's getting hard for me to stay awake. I'd better get to bed and finish this later.

i'm not sure what this post is gona be, but it's probably not going to be very happy.
Job rejection. Sweet. Silence from the rest. Who knows how long i'll be stuck at my current job. No new job = no moving. Well, i guess it's better than being unemployed. For those of you who have been fired and are reading this blog, I apologize.
Optimistic people. While I admire the concept, i think optimistic people are like people on drugs. I would almost go as far as to say that pessimistic people are just a little bit worse than optimistic people. I'm big on realism; big on being realistic - acknowleding the good with the bad and the bad with the good, acknowledging when shit stinks and accepting the consequences of your actions. I don't like movies with unrealistic endings. When Harry Met Sally was good up until the piece of shit ending. P.S i love you, which I only watched because i was stuck on a plane to fucking canada, was a horrible fucking movie, but also had a horrible fucking ending. Swingers had a GREAT ending. The Break Up had one of the best endings I've ever seen in a romantic comedy. And let me add that it's not a matter of it not being happy in order for a movie dealing with relationships to be realistic. Swingers had a happy ending...the Wedding Singer had a happy ending. But yeah. Optimistic people. Ugh. Makes me wanna punch faces. There's a difference between optimistic and being realistic. Here's a good example. I'd someday like to date a girl who has the looks of a model and the personality that's funny, caring, sweet, witty. I'd like her to be smart, to be able to challenge me mentally and emotionally. But i cant get a girl like that. I just can't. It's beyond my reach. Now you may say "man you gotta think more positive. No girl will want to go out with a guy with such low self esteem". okay. but am i really being negative or just being real? i do'nt think i'm being hard on myself. I think i know what i'm capable of and I will not be able to attract a girl who looks like a model. how can you argue that. And don't say "well lots of ugly guys get cute girls". yeah..first of all, that happens about as often as the fat guy at the office passes by the donut box without getting a hard-on. Second of all, there's gotta be a catch. Plain and simple. If we lived in a perfect world where people got with other people based on the content of their character, then we'd also be living in a world where we could fly, and jumping rainbow unicorns would shit out lucky charms while speaking vietnamese. Yeah, in other words, an ideal world.
GRIPES (Said with 90 percent jest, and 10 percent honesty - because all jokes contain some truth)
1) There's a big difference between people laughing at you, and laughing with you, or laughing at something you said. I don't like people laughing at me. For several reasons,
-People laughing at you puts you down. It makes me feel put down. i don't need that shit. I'm not a fucking monkey.
-I've been laughed at enough in my life, thank you. Hey, news flash - I used to be a huge fucking nerd and a bona fide loser. Think I'm feeling sorry for myself? Kiss my ass. Walk a mile in my shoes before you put on the white wig, you self-righteous fuck. (okay maybe this one wasn't so much in jest. Emo!)
-When people laugh at you instead of with you, it adds an unnecessary awkwardness to the conversation. I mean, what are you supposed to say that? You can't laugh it because it's not funny to you. Any words you say will only make the person laugh harder, elongating the one sided comedy show. So you sit there and say nothing, which makes things awkward for you and for everyone else in the area. Lame.
2) Okay, this one is not so much a gripe, but more like a observation of when I'm telling a story. When I'm re-telling a story, I like to make facial expressions and embellish tones of voices. Is this weird? I think it adds to the story, but people seem to latch on to those things instead like "why do you do that?". I guess I just find it very boring to tell a story and use the same tone of voice, no facial expressions, and no hand gestures. Maybe I should drop it and tell stories like they do at the local library for children who's parents need someone to watch them while they hit up the liquor store?
3) Waiters that don't check up on your water. Restaurants that have small water cups. Here's the thing...if you had larger water cups, then you wouldn't have to refill the glasses so often!! Rocket science, fucking amazing.
4) (Warning..this is no jest. Get ready for lots of cussing) People that don't hear their name when you address them, or people who completely ignore something that is directed towards them. Okay, check it. this one is a HUGE GRIPE. When i say "hey xxx, blah blah blah" and they act like they don't hear me. And yes, I said "act" because the simple fact is this: THAT PERSON FUCKING HEARD ME. See, if i don't want to taste something, I can close my mouth, not take a bite. If I dont want to see something, then i can close my eyes. If I don't want to smell something, then i can not sniff or breathe through my nose. But what i fucking CAN'T do, is CLOSE MY FUCKING EARS. If I sound happens, then I HEAR(D) it. Simple as that. And don't say "oh what? I wasn't paying attention". Give me a fucking break. We're not listening to a fucking symphony or haveing a multilayered conversation. At the VERY least, acknowledge that someone was talking to you and say "one second". This shit REALLY pisses me off.
5) Bragging. partial bragging. indirect bragging. forced bragging. I would go into this, but the sheer amount of hate and cussing would probably turn this blog entry into nothing more than long string of profanity.
More later!

That had to be seriously the most heart-wrenching dream I've ever had. When I woke up and realized that I had been dreaming, holy SHIT...talk about a wave of disappointment. Unbelievable. Fucking unbelievable. Seriously.
Fuck.
On the other hand, it was a nice escape from the normally crazy dreams that i usually have. and I have to really be amazed at how realistic my dream was. It's almost like my brain took what i wanted, took everything that i've been regretting, and turned it into something. I really have to give props to my frontal cortex.
Back to the bad side, this is proof that my regrets have saturated into the deeper parts of my brain. Lame.
- - -
This weekend was cool. Chilled with friends and fam. Minh and Cz came up. Played my last game of baseball for the rest of my life (it's not that I don't like playing necessarily..it's just that it's the only game which can't be played socially because everyone is spaced out enough that you can't talk/socialize with one another). It was the officially the last weekend that I'm going to eat bad. It's so hard to not eat bad i swear. Should be easier when i finally move out.
- -
So I'm trying to find a new job right now. Once i get a new job, I'm moving out. Another small step in my "exciting" life. I'm not really sure where i'm going to end up, but ideally i'd want to get a new job by the end of this month. But companies take fucking forever to get back to you, so I'm not sure how long this is going to take.
- - -
There was a conversation coming up yesterday about guys and girls. I stand by my statement that guys are stupid and girls are evil. That's how it works.
Guys are stupid because we are too objective sometimes. A=B shit. Everything seems "logical" and "simple" to us. We forget things. We don't get why we have to call when we get home. Why would we do this when we could just do that and have it be much simplier? Why are you angry at us? We take stuff for granted. Huh? Why don't you just tell us what you want? Huh?
Guys are stupid. I'll admit it. We don't think outside the box. We see relationships as a certain thing and we know what we can expect from it.
But girls are evil. Girls play games. They sabotage one another. They do tests. I don't really need to explain further than that.
I believe a nicer way of putting it is that guys are objective and girls are subjective (one not being better than the other..that's important...they're just different). That's why there's that disconnect and why one side says that they don't understand the other. And any guy who wants to argue that they're not objective, or any girl that wants to argue that they're not subjective...well, you're wrong. Because i'm going to assume that the reason why you're arguing the point is because you want to believe that you're not a certain way it's the other side's fault.

Lame.

"You need to breathe to live" , or Telling you things you already knew
oh boy. Sometimes there are things that you assume are true, and then you find out that they ARE true in real life. Check this out.
1) ASIAN GIRLS ARE RACIST. We all have our preferences. When I eat pho, I don't want any cilantro in it. No olives in my tuna fish salad please. I understand we have preferences. So i'm not chastizing the girls who say "I don't date asian guys". I just find it weird. and racist. Like, what?? One bad experience equals NO asian guys at all? Do guys really act different based on their race? What does race have to with your bad experience with the guy? Unless the guy was super FOB or a blatant steretype, then I can't really understand. Of course, I can't really relate because you never hear a guy say "I don't date asian girls". In fact, there are a ton of (white) guy who will say "I ONLY date asian girls". So maybe this is the universe's way of balancing things out. Or maybe it's something else...
something like...
2) ASIAN GIRLS ONLY WANT TO DATE GUYS WHO ARE AT LEAST 6-24 INCHES TALLER THAN THEM. Asian guys aren't tall. They just aren't. Too bad. Because girls dont want to date a guy who's an inch taller or a couple inches taller than them. No, it has be at least half a foot. Why? I don't know. But I can guess!
a) The girl hates being short, so she wants to date a much taller guy.
b) The girl wants to make sure that her kids are tall.
c) The girl has always dreamed of hugging a boyfriend and being able to rest her head on his pelvis bone.
d) Super tall guy, I'm assuming means super tall penis. I SAID I'M ASSUMING.
e) The girl wants cute hapa kids. However, there is a 50-50 risk (hapas are either super hot or super ugly), but the girl is willing to take that risk.
But yeah..I have no idea! I have no idea why girls want to date guys that are so much taller than them. Cheesy moments aside, I just don't get it. I can totally understand why a girl wouldn't date a guy shorter than them, but the tall thing I'm just perplexed by. But again, the gender thing comes into the ability to understand because if you ask me about the height of a girl that I'm seeing, my only thing is that she isnt' taller than me. Okay maybe one inch, but that's it. But same height to anything shorter, except midgit sized, I'm good. I really think it's the cheesy thing tho. They want to have a guy that they have to look straight up at in order to gaze into their eyes..they want a guy who when they hug them, holds their head directly against their chest..and then sweeps them only their galiant white horse and carries them off to their castle where they will live happily ever after.
Of course I realize that this comes off as a bit pathetic. I'm an asian guy who stands a menacing 5'7". White guys rest their drinks on my head. I'm sure there are WNBA players who would step on me and not even notice. But NONETHELESS, one feels the need to QUESTION these things when options are running thin. Because at this point, it is as follows
1) Any non-asian girl = would never date an asian guy. There is no such thing as "yellow fever" for non-asian ethnicities.
2) Asian girls = joining the racist and height discriminatory club. Recruiters are working overtime and free memberships are being passed out like hotcakes.
And with those options gone, that leaves
a) cougars
b) really ugly people
c) porn
d) a cantaloupe with a good personality and pic of Jessica Alba on it.
e) desperates
And with that, I'll end this stupid pointless post. Good night and good luck.

Saturday i went out for lindz bday. We went to B412 in palo alto. It was cool in the beginning of the night - lots of room. But oh, as the night went on, and more people came in, it got hot and nasty. Here are the highlights, good and bad:
Good:
-Room to dance. Sometimes good music.
-First time going out dancing in a long, long time.
-Ate pizza across the street before the club. Really good.
-I forgot how much cheaper drinks are here than in Vegas.
-Outdoor house section. Cooler.
-Actually a good number of cute girls. Not just hot, but CUTE. There were two girls there who were extremely cute. However, one of them was with what appeared to be a guy who was the champion of the "nerdy guy gets hot girl"contest. I'm talking about the kind of guy who yells out calculus equations during sex. Seeing a couple like that gives you hope, but also really makes you want to beat his ass.
-Watching the countless guys trying to dance with Lindsay. There was a guy there who looked like Josh Groban and danced like Vanilla Ice. He tried dancing with Lindsay. Hilarity ensued. I truly believe that Lindsay emits some kind of ego-boosting substance. Let me be clear. If you got balls, then more power to you. Are you confident? Bravo, my friend. But let's KEEP IT REAL, shall we, gentlemen? I mean, yes, sometimes you don't know until you try, but KEEP IT REAL. Yeah, I can TRY to stop that boulder coming at me down the hill, and I may get props for trying to do it, but I think it's QUITE CLEAR what the result will be.
-Drunk Shan. "Chummy! Chummies!!!"
Bad:
-By the end of the night, the windows were fogged up with sweaty nastiness and people's body funk. Nasty. It was almost as gross as when I went to a club where it got so hot inside that it started to drip from the ceilings.
-No room to dance near the end.
-Some big black guy threw up in the corner by where we were dancing. It was actually more funny than gross.
-Barely saw people.
-Still can't dance in clubs due to stage fright? I dunno.
-Not a very good practice session. I think the problem is I need to find more people who want to go practice. I hate to admit it, but being comfortable fits into how well I can dance. And when it's just me out there dancing, I'm afraid it doesn't look like I'm practicing, but more like I'm the guy who comes to the club alone and dances by himself. It's stupid I know, but it definitely factors in. The best way to explain it is I think it goes back to my raving days, which was the only other time in my life where I really dedicated myself to learning a dance style. Back in those days, me and my friends would find a corner or an area of the dance floor and then we'd take turns going, one at a time. There's something about that kind of set up that made me feel comfortable and able to dance almost effortlessly. That just isn't the case anymore. Our group barely goes out as a group anymore -- the girls go by themselves, people have less time, etc.
Sunday I spent sitting around with a slight hangover, and doing nothing. The most productive thing I did all day was had a phone conversation. It was a conversation that 4 years ago I thought i'd never have. Strange how things change, I guess.
