Quick blog from Japan from my cousin's place.
Man, Japan is fucking awesome. It's a trip to be here again.
The food, the people, the culture - it's great. I'm definitely going to come back here again...after I learn more japanese.
Too bad I'll be home again soon and back to my job. Okay not going to think about that.
The prices..the PRICES of food here is awesome. The convenient store sells a shitload of good stuff for less than 4 bucks usually. EVERYTHING IS GOOD HERE.
I don't want to come home. lol. And i will warn everyone now. No one will be getting omiyage because I'm going to spend all my money on myself. So there. lolz
My perspective is a blog better make you laugh or make you think. I'm trying to keep it real while keeping it funny. Life isn't always humorous, but one's perspective on it can and should always be. Heavy on the funny, heavy on the sarcasm.

Okay..I really need to finish this post about the vegas trip I just had.
- - -
Man. This was an awesome trip. It was what I needed on so many levels, you don't even know. Here's what we did.
Thursday
Got to vegas. Walked around, gambled. Danielle and I headed back early because we were both worn out from our respective work weeks, and we all had to get up relatively early the next day.
*What was cool about it: I was so glad to be chilling with friends after a work week from hell. Danielle and I both fell asleep on the plane, and I missed out on the complementary drink. Dammit! But I had good conversation with Tony about the Sky Mall catalog, and I was extremely excited to be on my way out, and into Vegas.
Friday
Woke up at 11am. Jon and I went to The Art of Shaving. Got the royal shave. There is nothing like a straight razor shave with hot towels and a face massage. Left looking a lot less scrubby (I hadn't shaved in two weeks), and way more the hotness. I was lucky enough to get Craig again as my barber, and he put me back on the street "lookin' all GQ and shit", as he put it. Tony and Danielle had went to the spa at luxor to get massages and enjoy the spa amenities (whirlpool, sauna, etc.). You could tell by their faces that they had had a good time for sure. I think next time I go to vegas, I'll get some treatments at a spa. And I mean the legit kind, not the ones where Mei-Ling makes sure you leave with a smile on your face, regardless of the quality of your massage.
*What was cool about it: If you're a guy, GET A STRAIGHT RAZOR SHAVE. It's the best shave you'll ever get. Go to either Art of Shaving or Truefitt and Hill. It's awesome. Seriously. You'll be amazed at how close of a shave you'll get. Girls will want to touch your face, and/or you won't be able to stop touching your own face. Either way, your face is getting touched, so stop crying.
After meeting back at the room, we headed to the Wynn. I still wasn't exactly hungry, but I went anyways cuz everyone else was hungry and we wanted to get there before dinner prices started (ghetto!). We ate.. tony and I got up and walked around...Jon stayed an extra hour to eat, Danielle kept him company.
*What was cool about it: The Wynn is like the Bellagio when it comes to their buffet. Awesome selections, good food. Highlights: Clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, this beef that Jon got, this pasta that Danielle got, green tea mousse, creme mother fuckin' brulee. I ate till I was ready to burst. And our waitress was fuckin' awesome. She took her break and still remembered what we had all been drinking.
Later on, we made plans to get bottle service at Rum Jungle. It went really smoothly, the girl who did the reservations was really nice. We got a bottle of Effen Black Cherry Vodka. We got out drink on, our dance on, and had a great time. Afterwards we played craps drunk, which wasn't a very good idea, but it was fuckin' fun so who cares. Headed back to the hotel and crashed after some conversation and such.
*What was cool about it: There was a ton of room to dance in Rum Jungle. The music was so so, but they played some FUNK yo. Tony met a hot waitress. I got one of the best damn buzzes of my entire life off that Effen. I didn't turn super red, didn't have a head pounding buzz...it was just a nice dull buzz that lasted forever. I believe it's how white people must feel when they get drunk. It was sweet. And everyone was drinking and having a good time, which always makes it more fun.
Saturday
Woke up eventually and went to Bouchon for brunch. Then we went to the Hilton to get a Borg Sphere (nerd it up). Then we headed back to the hotel and got changed and then headed off to Del Frisco's for steak. After that we headed back to the hotel and got some Fat Tuesdays. Bad idea here. Remember that nice buzz that I had described from Friday? This was the exact opposite. Ultra red, head pounding..wasn't very fun. And my legs got restless. And only half of us were drunk so I felt kinda stupid. And that's why I took off running. That and I was cold. Don't ask. It made sense to me at the time. Went back to the hotel. Jon almost picks a fight with a guy (lol you have to ask to hear the story..basically Jon forgot his cup at the internet place, so he turns around with his arms up..some stupid fat fuck sees him and thinks Jon is calling him out...why there would be any reason for a random person to call you out in a hotel lobby I don't know...but basically I'm really glad that the guy didn't do anything because Tony was there and he would have made sure that guy tasted the floor). Dropped Tony off at the room because he was sleepy/drunk. Got nachos from luxor. Stayed up all night. Went to the airport, headed home to fuckin' POS work.
*What was cool about everything: Bouchon - the evian water was free, the food was bomb. BOMB. Fuckin' delicious I swear. Borg sphere was good as usual, and there were no star trek characters roaming around to bother us. Del Frisco's was BEYOND GOOD. I cannot believe how fucking delicious that place is. SERIOUSLY. SERIOUSLY. I will go back there again every time I go to vegas. Seriously.
I will say easily that that trip was in my top 3 trips to vegas. Everywhere we went we had good food. Everyone had fun and great time. All the taxi drivers we had were cool peoples. Tony pointed out a hot brazilian girl at the airport. We gambled a lot. Vegas is awesome. Life is good. Well, until I came back.

please excuse my angry melodramatic entry yesterday. It was petty, though I feel completely justified.
I got up for work at 630am. I'll be here till about 6pm most likely.
Strangely enough, I don't feel as stressed or torn apart as I did before. Maybe it's kind of like that euphoria you feel when you've been stretched in so many different directions that you don't even feel the pain/stress anymore.
I dunno.
I do know that this weekend I don't want to think or care about anything. I'm so tired. I just don't care anymore. About work. About love. About life. About anything. I just want to sleep, stop thinking. That is, unless I have to do work this weekend, which I most likely will.
I understand now that life requires a certain amount of action. And if the action isn't in your external life, then it takes place internally. There has to be action somewhere..if it's neither outside or inside, you'll either die or go crazy. The human mind needs stimulation, and if it doesn't get it, then it'll create it. This is probably why my dreams are so vivid or are sometimes about what I feel i'm missing in my life. My point is, because my life is so routine, my mind is buzzing when it's not consumed with work. i'm thinking about this or that or they or what. Contemplation is not a suitable replacement for life experiences, however, and so what I'm left with is table scrapes from what should be an eventful portion of my life.
And it certainly doesn't feel good. Eventually the excessive amounts of thought will turn towards the negative, and when that happens, it becomes continually more difficult to hold back the punches directed at my own head (That's metaphorical, btw. I think my face has suffered enough from my teenage years and oily skin that would make body builders jealous).
And at that point, it becomes hard to care. I just want to go to bed and forget about shit for a while. And not in an emo way...more like, in a I'm-too-fucking-tired-to-deal-with-this-shit kind of way.
And i don't think that this is a lack of confidence of any of that bullshit. I'm being fucking real, and i think that takes a larger sense of confidence. I know to be a man, to be attractive to girls, you gotta look like you're confident and hold your head up high. Well, fuck, I'm only human, and I'm not gonna put on a false front. Last time I checked, if you wanna wear a mask to hide your ugliness, that has lot more to do with insecurity. I know where I stand, and I'm comfortable with living with the cracks in my foundation.

Dont worry that post is coming. And it will be filled with all kinds of horrible shit, because I feel like shit.
Work is the absolute worst right now. You have no idea. Seroiusly. You think I'm just saying that but you really have no idea. Right now I'm working on ONE project, down from THREE, because it requires that much time. My manager and I just got chewed out on a call (WTF) for some shit that was beyond our control. I'm currently working 60+ (yes, plus) hours a week. I miss dinner with my family every night because I'm getting home so late. If I could find one word to describe this project, it would be fuckinghorribleinsurrmountablechaos. You have no idea how messed up this product is. The very fact that I'm in charge to make it usable is fucking ridiculous.
These next four weeks of life are, in all seriousness, going to be the worst four weeks of work that a person my age will probably have to face. I'm expecting to have an ulcer, have the rest of my hair fall out, and gain 10 pounds just from the stress. Work is shit. You don't even know.

I came to the realization yesterday that I have no means by which to listen to all my old tape singles from the 90's. How the hell am I going to listen to my Keith Martin single now??? Looks like i have to go out and buy a tape deck or something. Should be extremely cheap. Tape singles. Hilarious. I remember buying tape singles for one particular song..and then on the other side of the tape there would be a different song, or a remix of the original. I didn't want to hear either. So listening to the single would consist of listening to side A, then rewinding it, then listening to it again, and repeat. Oh the days of youth. Back when mp3 weren't even in existence.
I'm convinced that DKNY for men can do no wrong. Awesome clothes. All the pics I've seen from the fashion shows are fuckin' clean. And this says a lot because usually when you see clothes from a fashion show they're fuckin' stupid looking - something I never understood...I mean don't you want people to see your clothes and think "Hey I could wear that!". No one ever thought that seeing a guy wear speedos with a tie and a pink hat. Man i would hate to be a male model. Well, except for the girls, and the free clothes (i read that you don't really make that much being a model...unless you're gisele..tom brady's chick...but she looks like a dude)
Speaking of chicks who look like dudes, omfg. I saw some pics of eva longoria from her spread for bebe sport. She looks pretty fucking do-able, but HOMIE, DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE. It's amazing what MAKE-UP, and PHOTOSHOP VER. 9 point 0 can do. I just can't forget about those pics I saw of her without her makeup on. Dude, she looked like a BUM!!! yaaaaah. It was a total Johnny Hates Jazz moment. Only Tony will get that reference.
And you can't say that all girls are like that. Gwen Stefani who is fuckin' hot as hell with makeup on, is even HOTTER with her makeup off! How is this possible? It defies logic! Speaking of her hotness, I'm fucking jealous of her kid. Not because she kisses him and and shit, but because dude, look at her and look at her husband, Gavin Rossdale. Their kid is gonna be so good looking that girls will pass out and get pregnant just LOOKING AT HIM. UNFAIR. And with a name like Kingston, how can you NOT conquer all the ladies. I will keep telling myself that that was a funny joke and we will move on.
I'm gonna go eat at Kaygetsu today. I've heard that the food is beyond good. It's like an experience. you know that when someone describes a meal at a restaurant as "an experience", it's gonna be some good stuff.

okay. let me start off this post by saying two things:
1) this is not an emo post
2) lol. I say "lol" to prove the first thing.
lol.
The simple truth of my life at this point is that I need to concentrate on myself. that's it. It is clear that I do not need anyone, and no one needs me, in the clearest definition of the word "need". Again, before you say "quit the pity", remind yourself of the definition of the word "Need".
lol.
My impact on the world around me is minimal. I impact one person, and one person only: me. For others this is not true. For some, the party truly does not start without them. People are aware of where they are, and what they're doing. Some people bring the party to a stop. People want to avoid them. Some people hate parties and avoid them on purpose. I'm not sure where I fit in to the party metaphor. I think I'm the guy at the store in the middle of the party trying to figure out what alcohol to bring. Now I wonder where the party metaphor came from in the first place and why I wrote it.
lol.
I do not question why nothing comes easy. I do not question why I have no natural skills. I do question why I analayze it though. I believe I do this as a defense mechanism. An understanding, an analysis creates a justification. If you cannot win first place, then you analyze why you lost, and thus hope to gain something. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.
lol.
It becomes obvious that myself, along with so many other people. Refuse to leave their comfort zone. I guess I never did it before because I didn't have the right reasons. I think I do now.
I never knew how to live for myself, because I was paranoid about being arrogant or coming across as a braggart or riding on a high horse. I think I realize now that there is a big difference between the two, with the later items being living for yourself in the eyes of others.
lol
So where does all of this lead me? It has become clear to me that there is one solution for all of the problems above.
And I'm finally ready to do it.
No, I'm not going to write what it is. It's incredibly simple (nothing crazy or lifestyle changing) and to write it would make this post sound stupid and self-affirming.
And don't ask me what it is in person, because I'm not going to say it either for the same reasons above.
- - -
With this realization a few of the cliches that my mom would tell me when i younger finally make sense. I hate it when cliches make sense, because they're so cliche.
