Quick blog before getting down to work.
Went to vegas over the weekend. It was a lot of fun. It was very chill. I think I had one drink of alcohol, making this the most sober I've ever been on a trip to vegas. However, that did not take away anything from the amount of fun I had. Got my gamble on - surprisingly, no craps, but played everything else. Roulette, blackjack (ridiculous...stupid robot dealer), slots (I think I'm done with slots forever), poker, and even that stupid money wheel (one time so i could say that i did it).
I bought myself some nice things in vegas too. I didn't feel so bad about it because I used my winnings at roulette and poker to pay for some of it.
Also, this trip ate a BOA steakhouse, Canter's Deli, Carnegie Deli (breakfast). Will post reviews of those later. Stayed at the Hilton Vacation Club on the northern part of the strip. We had a car, which was nice because taxi rates are fucking expensive now.
Okay, back to work. Will blog more about the trip later.
My perspective is a blog better make you laugh or make you think. I'm trying to keep it real while keeping it funny. Life isn't always humorous, but one's perspective on it can and should always be. Heavy on the funny, heavy on the sarcasm.

Piano Concerto No. 5 in E Flat Major, Op. 73 "Emperor" 2nd Movement.
The song is absolutely beautiful and simply amazing. It is beyond me how Beethoven wrote pieces such as this without being able to hear the notes he was writing.
Amazing. While listening to this song, my eyes started tearing up. Awesome song.

Yet another crazy ass dream. It was a good one tho. Bittersweet again. But then again, aren't all my dreams? Seems like I either have enjoyable, bittersweet dreams or straight up weird dreams.

Got some din din with Jon and Shan yesterday. Good pizza, good conversation. We talked about weird laughs. I saw this guy do a weird laugh at Best Buy the other day. Imagine a guy laughing really hard, but his face and his body do not move. Like the dude's face was stuck in a smile and he was just laughing really hard. I had to turn away. I could not hang out with someone like that because I would be laughing at them the entire time.
The pizza was really good because it's apparently family run. Yelp finally comes through.

Going to Vegas this weekend. I'm looking forward to some gambling, some lounging, and some drinking. This will be a chill ass trip, so maybe I can finally do some writing while having a drink downstairs at small jazz lounge. It's been so long since I've written and I can tell without even trying it that my writing style has changed. I think I'm actually kinda itching to write some short stories. And I'm glad to say none of them will be emo. EDIT: NM, it seems as though there isn't a lounge/bar in the place I'm staying. I think. Will have to check it out laters.
Nevertheless, I could use a chill trip I suppose. I got some thinking to do (don't worry, GOOD thinking). Besides..two weeks later i'll be in vegas again, partying my ass off.

Sweet. Another trip lined up. Going to new york in Dec.
Time to give NYC a realistic chance before i criticize it. Of course, all the past anger i had about the city is now gone because all of the petty reasons I had for not liking new york are now gone.
I'm pretty excited. Strangely enough, the thing I want to check out most is central park.

A while ago (a long while ago), I talked about finally being able to comfortable on my own. Not having to be around other people in order to have a good time. It's been a long while since I wrote that blog, and in that time, life has done what it always does and constantly changes. I've grown up somewhat - had certain events transpire, been slapped by reality a good number of times, realized that working full time is a good thing because it forces you to select what's important and what's not.
Nowadays, being on my own is actually quite enjoyable. It gives me time to work on myself - be it reading, exercising, or simply just relaxing. I think forcing anything in life is a chore and is totally unnecessary. The truth is that some things in life do not fit together well.
My job situation has become much better. Being that I'm probably going to move to a different project at the end of this year, but I've also had a crash course in learning my current project (it finally happened..almost a year after it was supposed to). In the current economy crappiness, I should be glad that I even have a job.
My love life is dead, but that's for the other blog. And it is NOT a bad thing.
One could argue that I too quickly push things out of my life that I do not feel are cohesive with my goals right now. Even if that is true, there is a sure fire reason for me doing so, and for that reason, I do not question it. I guess the thing is, there are some things in my life which I've been doing or have had in my life for such a long time that even though I have to accept the fact that it's for the best to change it up, it's sad that that's the reality. In related news, I'm also gonna do my annual throw shit away that I don't need. I just cleaned out two dressershelves. Gonna toss a bunch of shit cuz I fucking HATE clutter.

More and more division in my life. Whatever. It's a good thing. It is.
Life is easy going right now. It's stagnant, but in a good way. Not sure how to explain it. Job is better. Working on the health still. Finding out where people go here and there. Figuring out how to act appropriately in different situations. As I get older, it becomes more and more apparent that emotions and logic are not a dichotomy.
Sat night went out for Daco's bday. We went to a crappy pizza place in Fremont (Thanks Daco..lol jk). Then we went to get yogurt (only my second time doing so). Daco recommended getting the mochi in my yogurt. That's good knowledge. The mochi was better than the fucking yogurt. If I go to back to any yogurt place, I will probably get a tiny bit of yogurt and many mochi balls. We then went to Wingstop bc daco was still hungry, so he got a large french fries. After that I headed over to Jon's place where I chilled for the remainder of the night. Some light drinking, some good conversation. Then went home.
Sunday I did nothing all day and it felt fucking GREAT. I had no work to catch up on. I had no obligations. Nothing. I stayed home and finally started playing Mass Effect. Good game so far.

If there is one thing I truly hate in life, it's losing things. I hate it when i misplace stuff and can't find it. Part of the reason why I threw so much shit out, and why I really like the minimalistic look is you can always find what you're looking for.
After losing my cell phone, I made it a habit that every time I stood up from doing something I would check to make sure I had my keys, wallet, and cell phone. I guess over the years, I stopped doing it because I would never lose anything.
Except today. Today I lost a card holder that had my driver's license and credit card in it on BART somewhere. Fucking great. I HATE losing shit. And to make things even fucking worse, I'm going to vegas two times in the next month. And with the time it takes to get your new license, it's highly unlikely that I'm going to get it in before I go. That means I have to use my fucking passport instead which is a pain in the ass, AND it makes me paranoid because I could lose that too. I don't doubt that I can't not lose anything because apparently I'm a fucking retard who loses only the most important fucking things.
Add to that the fact that someone out there now has my driver's license number, date of birth, home address, and phone number. They also know what I look like, and have one of my credit cards. I cancelled the credit card and made an appointment at the dmv, but that doesn't mean that whoever finds it is going to try and jack me. I have a good feeling that whoever finds it will not be an honest person and will probably try to use my information to apply for shit.
I can handle most fucked up things that happen in life, but losing really important shit like this really stresses me out.
Fuck. What a weekend.
